This is the reason that BA (Political Science) in top DU colleges were taken up as soon as the first Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) list was released, while seats in Science courses such as BSc (H) Zoology, BSc (H) Botany witnessed flux with many being vacant after the first round.
After the first allocation list, 59,100 students took admission and were given the option to upgrade to seats of higher preference. Later, 9,439 students were 'upgraded'. After the second allocation, 15,236 fresh admissions took place, DU will declare the third list on November 10 later provide the option for spot admissions as well. Several students who opted for Science courses 'upgraded' their preference after the second DU CSAS list was released, while there was only a small margin for the upgrade in the humanities courses as almost all seats in courses such as BA (H) Political Science, BA (H) History, and BA (H) Psychology were taken in top DU colleges.
