Now is the time for Taylor Swift to get political and mobilize her do-good army to fight the scourge of Donald Trump's red hats in every cultural and political foxhole, Vinay Menon writes.
This will not be easy. The darkness is everywhere. Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. The war in the Middle East. The rise of far-right demagogues in Europe. The far-left illiberal lunacy in North America. The world is a churning hot mess and Ms. Swift is very busy on tour. But there is one fix she can snap into her insane schedule.
This one is easy: she can endorse Joe Biden right now.
There is a book coming out next week, “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took American Through the Looking Glass.” Written by Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh, an excerpt appeared in the publication this week.
Mr. Convicted Felon was asked about the superstar.
“I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful!” said Mr. Convicted Felon, unaware of the creep factor such a statement elicits coming from someone who brags about grabbing women by the p-word or who once told Howard Stern about how he could “get away” with going backstage to leer at nubile contestants in various states of undress because he owned the beauty pageant.
“I find her very beautiful,” Mr. Convicted Felon continued. “I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump … I think she’s very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!”
