Use the power of Photoshop to apply creative effects to any type of image and make your shots stand out from the crowd
How to take control of saturation

Nestled between full colour and black and white is a place that’s bursting with creative possibilities – a space where saturation control can be used to subdue oversaturated colours to make them appear more realistic. Most importantly, this is somewhere creative saturation control can be used to subtly increase the moodiness of any type of image or highlight elements within it.

Whether you shoot portraits, landscapes or still life, taking control of saturation both globally and using individual colour channels is a hugely popular approach to photography these days. We’re not talking about social media editing cliches; the techniques here are tried, tested and guaranteed to help your images stand out. What’s more, the way we’ll approach the techniques will teach you a range of skills you can use in multiple situations for other effects.
