Team Bottrill's Kate Allan took victory in the Finsbury Park CC 25-mile time trial in her latest encounter with seasonlong rival Joanna Patterson.
Allan set a time of 50.32 while Patterson finished third behind Angela Carpenter (a3crg), following the former's exploits at the Commonwealth Games.
Allan and Patterson have battled all season, with Allan beating Patterson at the National 50-Mile Championship, while Patterson defeated Allan at the National 100-Mile Championship.
"I paced it like a 10-mile time trial, knowing Jo was racing, I had to give it the beans so I raced it like a 10-mile and hung on," said Allan.
