All the 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise announced their respective retention lists - full list of players released and retained - as per the November 15 deadline set by the BCCI. The same was done ahead of the mini-auction, which is scheduled to be held in Kochi on December 23. Some players like Indian allrounder Shardul Thakur and New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson were also traded. In addition to the purse left with franchises after the release of players, each franchise will get to spend an additional Rs 5 crore at the auction. As the franchises prepare their strategy for the bidding table, we predict five players that franchises might regret releasing.
