ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP: LIST OF RECORDS BROKEN AS UNBEATEN INDIA HUMBLE ENGLAND IN LUCKNOW

In a low-scoring affair, India humbled champions England in match number 29 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Having been asked to bat, India were restricted to a paltry score of 229/9 in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with an 87-run effort. Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul played crucial knocks worth 49 and 39, respectively. England bowled well as a unit. Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid were superb. In response, India saw England start on a decent note before the floodgates opened. From 30/0, England were reeling at 39/4 and then 51/5. India got the key wickets at key moments to pick up their sixth win of the tournament and get back to the top of the table. Mohammed Shami was sensational for India and continued his brilliant run in ODI World Cups. Jasprit Bumrah was solid as well. England were bowled out for 129 and lost by 100 runs.

Here is the list of records broken.

18000 INTERNATIONAL RUNS FOR ROHIT SHARMA
