Anwar's story is truly inspiring. It is a life story with humble beginnings, a lucky break coupled with an opportunity to change the trajectory of his life and that of his family. It shows that sometimes when talent is recognised and honed, a person's life truly changes- it is remarkable and one worthy of the history books.
Early Days:
Anwar was a caddie to many prominent senior golfers in Jamshedpur. During these years, through observation, he picked up tricks, techniques and strategies from the best of the best through his innate interest and latent talent. He travelled around India to cities such as Patna and Delhi with a keen eye on the workings of each golf course. He is well-versed in the terminology, conditions and landscape of different golf courses. Ronald McNill, CEO of the Doha Golf Club was on the look out for someone who is an all rounder. A person who can coach, maintain a course and run it to the highest professional levels. He was looking for someone who could run Golf operations at the Doha Club.
