KEMPTON October 16 (standard to slow) 7f two-year-old novice (Class 5) Solid form
SUNNY STREET (James Tate) looked in tremendous shape for this debut and ran a belter to finish fourth behind some useful, race-sharp rivals. He’s from a granite-tough family and will win a race or two.
KEMPTON October 18 (standard to slow) 1m handicap (Class 6) Modest event
HUL AH BAH LOO (Simon Dow) is starting to blossom and ran well to finish fourth after being held-up in rear. He went on to pinch a moderate heat at Lingfield and will be dangerous off a revised mark of 66.
ASCOT October 21 (soft) 1m Group 1 (Class 1) Impressive winner
BIG ROCK (Christopher Head) was head-and-shoulders the paddock pick and bolted-up after making all. This French flyer stays in training next season, which is bad news for the homegrown milers.
1m handicap (Class 2) Red-hot contest
DOCKLANDS (Harry Eustace) looks like a Group horse and ran a nailer to finish third after being short of room two-out. He’s still lightly raced and will hold his own at a higher level in 2024.
KEMPTON October 22 (good) 2m juvenile hurdle (Class 4) Fair race for the grade
CAPTAIN MARVELLOUS (Jane Williams) was two sizes bigger than the rest of this field but looked badly in need of the run. Bearing that in mind, he performed miracles to finish second after travelling like a bomb to the home turn. This fella has got a bright future and should be followed.
2m5f novice hurdle (Class 4) Messy race
