ELLIS Taylor admits that his confidence is “Sky high” following impressive performances in front of the live TV cameras this season.

TAYLOR IS TALK OF THE TOWN

But, at the same time, the 21-year-old Harrogate Town winger is quick to point out that he’s not just a man for the big occasion.

Taylor took Sky Sports’ man-of-the-match honours when he netted during a 2-0 win over Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster last month.

He then starred and scored in another televised derby defeat of Bradford City a fortnight later.

But the ex-Sunderland hopeful, who went into this weekend as Town’s leading marksman with three goals, said: “The big occasions are great, but there are games that won’t be derbies or on Sky and you still have to bring your game and quality when you’re away somewhere on a rainy Tuesday night.”

Standards

A strong indication that Taylor’s standards have not dipped depending on the profile of opposition is highlighted by his identity as the only player at the North Yorkshire outfit to feature during all of the club’s first 15 fixtures in all competitions.
