MUCH-FANCIED pair Sutton United and York City remain unbeaten after four National League games after an entertaining game in which the U’s came from behind to lead, only for York substitute Lenell John-Lewis to grab a dramatic late equaliser with five minutes to go.

All the goals came in an entertaining second half which saw Sutton’s Will Davies cancel out Marvin Armstrong’s opener for the visitors with five minutes of the restart.

Substitute Josh Coley looked to have won it for Steve Morison’s side before John-Lewis popped up to hand his side a point at the death.

“It’s a hard earned point as we’ve gone toe to toe with one of the best teams in the league,” said York boss Adam Hinshelwood. “We can take a lot of encouragement from that. We’d have been disappointed to lose, and on another day might have won, so it was probably a fair result.’’
