DEAN Brennan’s Barnet emphatically beat arch rivals Wealdstone in front of a bumper derby crowd in the late kick-off at Grosvenor Vale.
A scintillating second-half display propelled the Bees to the top of the National League as a penalty from Mark Shelton, along with goals from Callum Stead and Nicke Kabamba, rounded off a dominant performance.
In contrast, Matt Taylor’s Wealdstone, only one point above Ebbsfleet at the foot of the table, were consigned to their six defeat of the season, and are yet to win a home game.
“It was a very professional performance from the lads,” Brennan said. “It’s a volatile and difficult place to come, but I thought we produced a dominant performance and came out with a convincing win.
“It means so much to both sets of supporters – ours were triumphant today. For us, it’s just another three points and onto the next game.”
