Qubo brand of devices come from Hero Electronix, which is a part of the Hero group Q of companies. Like most innovative smart products in the market, these devices have their origin in China, but are connected via the QuboPro app.
The Qubo handheld gimbal has a foldable design quite similar to the DJI OM5, but without a magnetic holder or extendable selfie-stick-like base. However, the gimbal has a sturdy, matte-finished exterior, which provides it a premium look and feel. The kit includes a screw-in tripod, a sturdy case and a lanyard. The device pairs with the phone via QuboPro app, which is available for both Android and iOS. The gimbal can accommodate smartphones that are 55 to 90 mm wide and up to 9.5 mm thick. Though there is no maximum weight mentioned in the user manual, we found the iPhone 14 Pro Max to be too heavy for the device, but the gimbal worked perfectly with phones up to Google Pixel 7 Pro.
Please check your phone's compatibility before buying since a heavy phone can make the movements jerky and damage the motor, especially the one that changes orientation.
