COACHMAN’S LASER 665 has changed its appearance. Last year, it was in the brand’s line-up as a conventional-width model, with an extended central washroom.
For 2024, the washroom has shrunk, but the caravan is now included as an ‘Xtra’ or 8ft-wide model. One thing has remained constant: the fixed single beds behind a washroom spread across the middle.
Some feel this layout creates a narrow central area, but others like it, because in effect, it gives you separate ‘rooms’.
Pitch and set-up
The 665 is obviously a bigger twin-axle, but it comes with ATC and an AKS 3004 stabiliser. It is enhanced by silver-grey sidewalls and 10-spoke Falcon alloys.
This season, Lasers also come with a 40-litre onboard water tank, an external mains socket, and BBQ and shower points.
An additional external locker accessing the area under the nearside rear bed, as well as the usual front nearside locker, means you have more room for storing outdoor furniture and other bulky items.
Lounge
The foldaway table is stored by the door, and there’s a pull-out shelf on the central chest. But you might not need either, as the sill Coachman provides at the front is huge. It includes a wireless charging point, with a mains socket in the corner. The lounge can easily seat six, and that folding table can accommodate places for them, too.
