I've been doing a lot more cat-sitting lately, which is probably a good idea,  considering it's my job, and I've discovered that some of my customers have types of modern carpets and flooring which lead cats to believe I have supernatural powers.

No, my power isn't to blend in perfectly with the carpet, thus enabling me to creep up chameleon-like on unsuspecting feline prey.

It's much more supernatural than that. Note to self: must stop referring to the cats I look after as "prey" - as well as losing a lot of bus it's almost certainly the other way round.

No, my supernatural power is that I seem to be particularly susceptible to building up large static electric charges when walking on certain types of flooring.
