It’s been a little over two years since Saira Khan made the decision to walk out of Loose Women and while the star has been pretty outspoken about not being friends with all ex-colleagues, it seems there are a few she misses. Saira, 52, tells Woman’s Own, ‘I miss being on live TV, I love the buzz and the fact you have a live audience. I miss seeing some of my friends like Coleen and Ruth who I worked with a lot – but I don’t miss the early wake-up calls!’
The star, who lives in Oxford with her husband Steve Hyde and their two children Zach and Amara, has since been focusing on her social media work, brand partnerships and her new venture, a skincare line called SairaSkin. Saira has been open about her reasons for moving on from Loose Women, previously claiming she thought it was ‘toxic for women’ and that a request from a producer for her to join OnlyFans (a claim strongly denied by ITV bosses) was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Now, she tells us that she feels as though her life has become more positive in the years since.
Saira explains, ‘Everything has a time and place and I have always vowed to myself that if something I am doing does not serve my long-term goals or is not bringing the best out in me, then it’s time to say goodbye and move on.’

Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly.
