The most disturbing thing of all is that young men look up to him!
You may not have heard of Andrew Tate but you can bet that every young male in your life knows exactly who he is. And possibly idolises him. This should worry you. A lot. Because Tate, 36, thinks you - and all women - belong in the home, can't drive, are a man's property shouldn't go on holiday and, if you've been raped or sexually assaulted, then you 'bear some responsibility'.
And this creature is talking to our boys and young men via his hugely followed TikTok and other social media platforms. Videos of this pathetic excuse for a man have been watched 12 billion times.
Maybe not for much longer because Tate and his equally misogynist brother Tristan have just been charged with rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women, in their adopted home of Romania.
They are accused of duping seven women, sexually exploiting them and subjecting them to physical violence. Prosecutors accuse the brothers of recruiting their victims by seducing them and falsely claiming to want a relationship or marriage. The alleged victims were then taken to properties in the Romanian countryside where, through constant surveillance and mental intimidation, they were forced to produce pornographic content for social media sites that generated huge amounts of money.
Quite how two boys raised by a catering assistant and chess master in Luton ended up making millions from preaching sexist claptrap and toxic masculinity beggars belief. It started in 2016 when Andrew - a successful kick-boxer - appeared in Big Brother. He didn't last long. Videos of him hitting a woman with a belt and telling a different woman to 'count her bruises' quickly emerged and he was booted out. Both Tate and the women involved denied any abuse occurred.
