ED SHEERAN 'I'VE BEEN TO HELL & BACK'

After a nightmare year, the singer is enjoying quality time in Australia with his precious family

Superstar Ed Sheeran says his stint in Oz has been “a dream come true”, as the British singer and his family took the time to relax and reconnect after a tumultuous year.

The 32-year-old songwriter recently stunned fans when he confessed his wife Cherry Seaborn, 30, had a tumour during her pregnancy last year that could only be treated after the birth of their second child. “Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth," Ed wrote on social media about those dark days, which have influenced his upcoming album Subtract.

"My best friend Jamal [Edwards], a brother to me, died suddenly and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter. I was spiralling through fear, depression and anxiety.

"I felt like I was drowning, head below the surface, looking up but not being able to break through for air."
