Guy Pearce is returning to Ramsay Street for its last-ever episode and bringing along a nod to his "lucky charm", Kate Winslet. The 54-year-old actor plans on using Kate's most famous character's name, Rose from Titanic, for his onscreen wife's name, in a special tribute to his old pal, who has had a crush on Guy since she was 11.
Last week, the Aussie actor spoke about his long-time friendship with Kate, 46, who helped him win an Emmy in 2011 for their steamy romps in Mildred Pierce, and how she's just as excited about his return as he is.
"Kate Winslet is a big fan of [Neighbours]," he said on TV talk show Studio 10. She's literally wetting herself that I'm back on the show. She was besotted with Mike [Young] back in the day. So when I told her I was coming back to do the show, she said, 'Right, I have to be there, I'm coming back."
