 Brooklyn's wife Nicola has caused a rift between the newlyweds and his parents

If we ever needed evidence that celebrities are just like us, the Beckham family feud is more than enough. The heavily rumoured rift between Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law publicly exploded last week, when Nicola Peltz Beckham all but confirmed the ugly family fallout to Variety magazine.

It was supposed to be a story celebrating Victoria and David's eldest son Brooklyn's attempts to become a celebrity chef, but it became a kiss-andtell for his billionaire wife.

Nicola, 27, addressed Woman's Day's story that the bride and her mother-in-law fell out late last year in the lead-up to 23-year-old Brooklyn’s wedding in April. At the time, sources said former Spice Girl and current fashion designer Victoria, 48, was “offended when Nicola opted not to go with a dress Victoria had specially made for her”.

WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Addressing the rumours, Nicola revealed, “I was going to wear her dress and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, Victoria realised her atelier couldn’t do it, so I had to pick another dress.”

She ultimately went with Valentino couture, much to the surprise of guests and fans.
