Do you fancy volunteering but don't know where to start? The Big Help Out aims to make it easier. Running this year from 7-9 June, charities across the UK will come together to raise awareness of volunteering. That means we can all find a way to make a difference in our communities.
Last year, six million people took part in the initiative, with over seven million agreeing that they were more likely to volunteer after seeing The Big Help Out in action. Here's how you can get involved.
How to sign up
Visit The Big Help Out's website at thebighelpout.org.uk or download its mobile app. You can sign up as a team or as an individual. Some charities will list specific volunteer opportunities. Or you could organise your own event, such as a fundraising tea party.
