Slow Cooker Cola-Glazed Ham
Ree uses fizzy soda in her glaze for an extra oomph of flavor that makes this set-it-and-forget-it ham extra special for the holidays
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 (12 oz.) can soda, such as Coca-Cola
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 (6 lb.) bone-in fully cooked ham
● In pot, whisk together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soda, allspice and nutmeg; over medium-high heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring, until flavors blend, 5 min.
● Place ham in 6-qt. slow cooker. Pour cola glaze over top. Cover; cook on low until tender and meat thermometer inserted into thickest part away from bone registers 140°F, about 4 hrs. Transfer to serving platter. Let sit 20 min before slicing. If desired, garnish with pomegranates and fresh herbs.

Buttermilk Parmesan Biscuits
Upgrade these scratch biscuits with your go-to cheese of choice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup low-fat buttermilk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 Tbs. butter, melted
● Heat oven to 400°F. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray. In food processor, pulse flour, baking powder and salt until just combined. Add shortening; pulse. Gradually add in buttermilk and pulse until dough forms; transfer to floured surface.
