A new superhero swoops on to our screens this week as caped crusader Batwoman uses her crime-fighting skills to protect Gotham City from an evil assortment of killers, crooks and villains.
The new US series is set in the same ‘Arrowverse’ as Sky One shows The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – but is being shown on E4.
FAMILY TIES
The 22-part series stars Australian actor Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, the cousin of Batman’s alter ego, Bruce Wayne, who returns to Gotham after being handed a dishonourable discharge from military school for refusing to hide the fact she’s a lesbian. Flashbacks also reveal she lost her mother and sister in a car accident – Batman couldn’t save them.
