From Metal To Mandolin, Americana Songwriter And Multi Instrumentalist Andrew Marlin Has Discovered That Going From Six-strings To Four Can Revolutionise Your Playing

Mandolin Orange

Andrew Marlin, one half of North Carolinian bluegrass/old-time duo Mandolin Orange, has had a diverse journey as a musician. His start came on drums, before he delved into hard rock, metal and the guitar. “I’m glad that I’ve gone through all the avenues that I have,” he tells TG. “Because I think it makes me approach folk and old-time music differently than some other folks. Not better, but it gives me my own little corner in this world.”
