In an anniversary special interview we bring to you one of industry kids who is known for his unusual film choices and extraordinary performances. Endowed with multiple creative talents he has plans to bring them to table as and when he gets the right chance.

While most actors in the industry keep putting efforts to make their presence felt you seem recluse. Is it intended or happens?

Nothing is intentional really. I belong to the school of thought of let the work do the talking and the headlines will automatically follow. I don’t endorse painting the town red and making noise like an empty vessel. While it’s true that in the film industry the age old adage of “out of sight out of mind” holds true. I feel talking when there’s nothing relevant makes you look baseless and hollow. In my opinion publicity and promotions are required when there’s something worthwhile to share with your fans across the board and when you wish to lay low then there’s social media that allows your fans to stay updated with your life. I’m not a recluse I just like to talk when there’s enough substance. I wouldn’t want to thrust myself onto the glossies every second day where people then want to just stop seeing the news.

In a decent career span your film outings have been pretty selective. Do you deliberately avoid doing more films?
