COULD YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?
I got involved with health and fitness at age 5. I started training with weights, concentrating on body exercises such as abs, sit-ups, pull-ups and running. Growing up, I was bullied in and out of school. A lot of people called me names and I got beat up and I was harassed a lot. So, I thought that if I put on muscle these bullies would leave me alone which was the main reason why I got started. Interestingly enough, they stopped bothering me. Since then, I've fallen in love with weight training. I would sleep with 2kg dumbbells under my bed. Barbie's boyfriend was He-Man and funny enough He-man's girlfriend was She-Rah. What helped my situation, even more, was that my father had a home gym and was an avid runner. He's a retired Navy veteran and till this very day, I still can not keep up with him. My father, Luis Beliso and I would always watch Bruce Lee and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies together. So, they were the contributing athletic figures in my life.
