One-of-a-kind monster fun in an easy-to-build kit

When was the last time you saw a factory 6X6 monster truck, besides never? There are a few military 6X6 models and at least one trail truck with an extra axle, but when it comes to monster trucks, the Konghead is the first to wear six chevron tires. The truck is built on Tamiya’s new G6-01 chassis, which is a lot like a stretched version of the GF-01 “wheelie” chassis Tamiya uses for the Heavy Dump Truck kit. And like the dump truck, the Konghead is not 1/10 scale—not officially, anyway. The chassis is comparable in size to 1/10-scale trucks, but since Tamiya is basing the Konghead’s scale off its Bullhead-style hauler body, they’re calling it “1/18 scale.” Whatever—at 16 inches long, it ain’t small. The easy to-build kit offers unique construction and plenty of hop-up potential. And just look at it!—you know it’s going to be fun.
