You know her as Amy in Emmerdale, a part she took over and made her own in March 2019. But since filming was postponed on the ITV soap due to lockdown, actress Natalie Ann Jamieson has added a few more strings to her bow, from quiz master to podcaster.
The Geordieborn star and her partner, Ali Ward, have joined forces to create a brand new podcast series called Ad Libbing, which launches on June 8. But that’s not the only thing keeping her busy, as over the past few months, she’s also turned chef, runner and hairdresser.
Natalie, who usually splits her time between London and Leeds, tells us about her new skills, keeping in touch with her co-stars and the celeb she wants to be best friends with.
Hi Natalie. How are you doing?
Not too bad thanks. I’ve been eating a lot and finding lots of new skills, although very basic ones. I’m not really into cooking and it’s not something I usually like to do – I usually just grab something from the fridge and go – but having had the time to do it has been really fun.
Who do you live with?
I’m really lucky as I’m isolating with my partner in Leeds. If I was alone I might have struggled a bit more because I’m quite a chatty person, so I would have had to have been constantly on Zoom chats. I’m still doing a lot of chats on the internet with people, though, which is great. In normal life, I travel around the country so frequently that I often miss people, but I’ve seen more of people in lockdown than I would have usually.
