First, let’s examine the Barkha interview with Kangana Ranut… Known for her fierce no-nonsense style, from the jawans in Kashmir to the high and mighty, she has never hesitated in asking awkward questions. But for Kangana’s interview, there she was on TV with dollops of makeup and a simpering smile reduced to a dumb Barbie doll as if she was questioning the Queen of England. There were no relevant questions nor even any cross examination, in fact, Kangana was aggressive with her, while all Barkha could repeat was, ‘I am a fan’... ‘I am a fan’… To add insult to injury when Kangana had the gall to run down a senior lady editor of a national newspaper by sniggering that an educated woman was talking about ladoo’s filled with menstrual blood, Barkha did not have the decency to stand up for someone in her own profession.
