Machines are increasingly playing a crucial role in corroborating facts during legal disputes. Some machines convey information, for instance, camera photography and recordings or the opinions of expert systems. When a litigant offers a human witness for its truth, the law subjects it to testimony, such as perjury and the hearsay rule, which aids the jury to assess the credibility of the witness. But
what about machine conveyance? It is often confusing when the courts shoehorn them as "hearsay," or as "actual evidence". It is intellectually incoherent and challenging to assess the credibility of the machine as a witness. So, how can a machine be a witness? Can the acceptance of machine as a witness benefit the law of testimony more broadly? There is a transpose from a human to machine-generated proof which some scholars believe has enhanced the accuracy and objectivity in fact-finding. However, there have been cases where different experts have reached different opinions on the same machine evidence. Does the machine testimony, in fact, pose problems for the law of evidence? This edition of Court Uncourt seeks to resolve this confusion and offer a coherent framework for conceptualizing and regulating machine evidence and also explains the Telecommunication and Media Law.
This edition also throws light on Saudi Arabia’s Regulations and Requirements for Setting up a Company in SAGIA, its Mortgage Agreements and the New Professional Companies Law of Saudi Arabia. Thank you, and we hope you have an insightful read!
