In dieser Angelegenheit

This edition of EEM is a whopping 144-page issue, and with all that’s going on, it was still a tight fit.
The cover story is a cracker. Liberty Industrial is a privately owned Aussie company which has enjoyed huge success and growth. After just over a decade providing expertise in demolition and mining, the company now employs over 150 people and has offices in several mainland capitals. We’ve had a look at the close association between Liberty Industrial and CJD Equipment, and the benefit that association has brought to both companies. Killa Earthworx and Black Cat Civil are two other Australian outfits enjoying notable
success, and they’re our case studies for this issue. Both companies stand as good examples of good management, not least with
their choices of equipment.
But the most exciting and fulfilling news for EEM this issue is a couple of industry-driven charity projects.
First up is the Dig Deep event scheduled for Victoria next year. Dig Deep is almost a mini earthmoving expo with a huge swag of displays and a big program of family entertainment, the main aim of which is to raise $1 million for mental-health support outfit Beyond Blue. already the fundraising has been astonishingly successful and continues to power on.
The other big fundraiser is down to the folks at the country’s premier earthmoving expo, Diesel, Dirt & Turf.
The DDT annual charity golf day will run in February at Luddenham, NSW, and the fundraising is built on the generosity of the
earthmoving industry. Mountains of products are donated as prizes or auction items, and a round of golf is a great way to bring people together.
