It may be too early to talk about an artworld emerging from the hibernation of the pandemic era, but it’s not too soon to speculate about what that world might look like. Perhaps a butterfly, perhaps a moth, perhaps an entity more alien still. In ArtReview’s November issue, topics surrounding poverty and injustice are mediated via social economies of the artworld. How much of this is here to stay, and will the way art is produced and experienced change as a result? In this issue J.J. The December issue features the nineteenth edition of the Power 100, ArtReview’s annual ranking of the contemporary artworld’s most influential people and movements.
