A magazine celebrating queer lifestyle,since the very first issue in 2001, Fyne Times has reported on the massive positive steps forward in UK LGBT’s lives. The first issue was published in a time when Section 28 prevented the promotion of homosexuality in schools, the age of consent for gay men and adoption rights were still unequal and marriage rights were a distant dream. The magazine was set up with a single purpose – to reach out to areas that the existing press at that time couldn’t. Our policy of “no sexual content” allowed us access to schools, colleges, libraries and even went to many prisons and although the emphasis initially was regionally based, our success allowed us to expand across the south and south west of the UK
