In dieser Angelegenheit

With Halloween upon us we thought it was high time we took a look at just how scared the rest of the Premier League should be by Liverpool’s LAD – Luis and Danny – strike partnership.

Could the Reds sweep all before them with the pair up front and is Brendan Rodgers’ 3-4-1-2 system really the best suited for them? We’ve got all the analysis – including a shock or two – in this month’s Kop.

The gruesome realities that Liverpool have only scored one second half goal all season and not a single strike has come from the bench also come under the microscope. We look at every single Premier League substitution that Brendan Rodgers has made during his time as Reds boss and analyse whether a lack of impact is down to the players he has available or the manager’s tactics.
And, when you see some of the stats, you’ll realise just what a horror-show our subs have been.

Stevie G set a club record of scoring in 15 consecutive league seasons against Crystal Palace so we pay tribute with our own unique take on some of his goals – “darting towards him, like a rat that had sniffed out a discarded portion of fries in a McDonald’s car-park, was Gary Neville,” – and we also celebrate the 50th anniversary of You’ll Never Walk Alone by asking what if Gerry Marsden hadn’t recorded it?

Under-21s boss Alex Inglethorpe speaks to us exclusively about the return of Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Rob Jones as Academy coaches, John Aldridge gives his first impressions on Mamadou Sakho and following Luis Suarez’s goals with odd socks at Sunderland we look back at some of the strangest kits Liverpool have worn.

We mark Kenny’s return to Anfield by giving you the chance to win one of his new My Life books, we’ve got a fantastic Shankly sweatshirt courtesy of Lover Follow Conquer up for grabs and give you a laugh with our missing words banners game.

The Kop. Comment. Analysis. Humour. Opinion. Passion. And our new favourite WAG. Gizza read.
