Jewellery Sales uptrend continues

Festival and wedding seasons have brought positivity in the market after a long time. Millions of Indians continued the age-old tradition of buying gold during festival this year also despite pandemic and economic recession. Boosted by expected easing of the pandemic, relaxation of lockdown measures and online sales expansion and gems fairs jewellery sales uptrend continues. This is indeed a positive sign for the jewellery industry.

The eleventh edition of Kerala Gem and Jewellery Show was held in a new avatar of a Buyer-Seller Meet in view of the current COVID- 19 restrictions to host a large exhibition. KGJS Buyer-Seller Meet was held on 11th & 12th December 2020 at Cochin and was inaugurated by Dr. B. Govindan, State President AKGSMA & Chairman Bhima Jewellery, B.A Ramesh, Jt. MD Thangamyil Jewellery, K Surinderan, State Gen Secretary AKGSMA, Adv Abdul Nazar, State Treasurer AKGSMA and COA- GJC, Bindumadhav, Cochin President AKGSMA and MD, Bhima Jewellery among other dignitaries. This one of its kind two-day Buyer-Seller Meet was jointly organized by AOJ, KNC and PVJ. With over 30 exhibitors and around 500 hosted buyers participated in the two-day event.
