Kalachuvadu January 2024 Special issue

The issue has two Special Sections:

1. Tamil and other languages: Native speakers of other languages have been making valuable contributions to Tamil. This section carries a couple of articles on this phenomenon and a few profiles of writers and publishers who belong to this category.

2. The tragic story of Gaza: This section looks deep into the tragedies of the Palestinian people. It contains articles and poems on the issue.

The issue has two editorials. One is a detailed and in-depth analysis of the recent state elections and the other one is on Sahitya Academy Award.

The issue carries an elaborate interview of renowned historian Nayanjot Lahiri by Maruthan Gangatharan.

An article deals with the causes and solutions of heavy rains and floods in Tamil Nadu.

Critical analysis of Australian cricket team’s success formula.

Renowned musician T.M. Krishna writes about Perumal Murugan who has won the JCB award for this year.

Short stories of Vasanthi and Perumal Murugan have been carried.

The debate section has a couple of critical responses to the articles published in the last issue on Periyar and Rajaji.
