The Act East Policy has been in discourse and in focus for some time and has created hope in the Northeast region in the backdrop of its close proximity with Southeast Asia whether it is on the cultural, social and geographical ground. The policy is not only a shift from ‘west’ to ‘east’ in its perspective but also a shift from mainland India to Northeast India, a region which is traditionally believed to be neglected by the centre. The April issue underscores the importance of the Act East Policy, and how it can change the face of Northeast.
The issue also features some of the exceptional Public Relations practitioners from the region where they comment on the emergence, challenges and future prospects of PR in Northeast.
