Our February—March 2020 issue celebrates the many facets of our heritage through trends, architecture, interiors and product design! The cover story showcases a never-before-seen art deco palace located in the seaside town of Porbandar, Gujarat. Bindu Manchanda introduces Huzoor Palace, as it's known, an almost 100-year-old colossal property, commissioned by the late Maharana Natwarsinhji, complete with its own stretch of private beach. Other aspects of heritage are seen in Stapati founder Tony Joseph's home in Kozhikode, the mansions of Chettinad, Russborough House in Ireland and in Amanayangyun's property near Shanghai. We're also showcasing a residence conceptualised by Bijoy Ramachandran and Sunitha Kondur of Hundredhands as well as Delhi based artist Manisha Gera Baswani's own. Get acquainted with the best names associated with heritage—Vikas Dilawari, Brunno Jahara, Doshi Levien and Rahul Shankhwalker—and Versace Home. Our Focus is on Walls & Floors with recommendations of resins, metals and more as ideal coverings. And finally, for our last page, we've chosen a rarely seen image of the ancient ruins of Hampi from photographer Jignesh Jhaveri that has us wishing we could turn back time.
