The Brooklin Volunteer Fire Department will celebrate 75 years with an open house on October 15. Surry Elementary School and Blue Hill Consolidated School are switching to bottled water after PFAS, “forever chemicals,” are found in their drinking water. And the new TradeWinds gym at the Lawrence Family Fitness Center YMCA now under construction is expected to open by year’s end.
