How many of you can remember those charles Atlas advertisements, which showed a skinny young man having sand kicked in his face by the local bully, who then walked off with the weakling’s girlfriend?
The young man then goes home and sends away for his charles Atlas course, and starts training using the Dynamic Tension principle. The young man quickly becomes bigger and stronger within a matter of weeks. He then returns to the beach, beats up the bully, and gets his girlfriend back!
Charles Atlas, real name Angelo Sicillano, claimed he was a 97-pound weakling before he developed Dynamic Tension. Mr. Atlas (who later won the title of ‘America’s most Perfectly Developed man’ in a 1922 contest at madison Square Garden) started advertising these courses way back in 1929, and, believe it or not, they are still available today!
Dynamic Tension pitted the resistance of one muscle against the other. There were no weights involved and the exercises could be performed anywhere, at any time. Atlas sold hundreds of thousands of these courses during the last eight decades. nothing much has really changed since then, because we still have many young 97-pound teenagers being bullied, even though they might not actually get sand kicked in their face. if i weighed 97 pounds, i don’t think i would be inclined to use Dynamic Tension for my miracle transformation. i would pick out the best seven mass building exercises known to man, and i would work them as hard as i possibly could, once every five days, increasing the poundages, and reps or both, whenever possible. i would also eat everything that didn’t move. forget about the words, diet, calories, proteins, fat, and carbs, etc., 97-pound weaklings can eat almost what they like until they reach their desired target body weight.
If you’re fed up being skinny or bullied try the following routine for at least six months, but be prepared to work harder than you ever did in your life. Take a full 10 days off from your current training routine and do the following every 5 days:
