The Fendt e100 Vario is the first practical battery-powered tractor that can be used in a normal operation for a full working day without the need for recharging
Using a battery-powered tractor can significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Maintenance and running costs are also cut as there are no filters or engine oil, and no diesel or AdBlue is required.
The Fendt e100 Vario is an all-electric tractor with 50kW power output that can operate for up to five hours under actual operating conditions. The energy source is a 650V high-capacity lithium-ion battery with a capacity of approximately 100kW.
INSTANT TORQUE
The electric drive provides precise and dynamic control, as well as maximum torque, from a standing start. To guarantee safety, the electronic system is insulated and continuously monitored. The tractor features an entirely new type of energy-efficient thermal management system. A regulated electrical heat-pump provides air conditioning for the cab, and cools the battery and electronics.
