BHS welcomes calls for action on irresponsible dog owners as the number of incidents rises
THREE riders and 18 horses have died as a result of dog attacks since 2010, the British Horse Society (BHS) has revealed.
The shocking statistics were released after a parliamentary report called for responsible dog ownership to reduce attacks on livestock. The report was instigated by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare following concerns about the “apparent increase in incidences of livestock-worrying by dogs”.
