“Since the age of 10, I’ve been lucky to have good horses to share. I’ve also stayed great friends with a few of the owners,” says Tasha Price of Littlehampton, West Sussex.

“I was devastated when a horse I was sharing, called Milo, passed away in 2015. In time, I found another horse to ride, called Jonas, again with lovely owners. Everything was going great, but I decided I wanted to get a horse of my own.

“Pie was only four miles away from home. I first met him in the eld and he was curious and inquisitive. Everyone who meets Pie loves him, because he is so affectionate.

“I decided to buy him and he arrived in January 2017. I made sure he had a full vetting before the sale completed.

“I enjoyed four weeks of riding, then Pie developed a foot abscess at the end of February. I called the vet and following her guidance I managed to get on top of the abscess. Pie was soon doing well.”
