Find out how adding a slim, dense tip to your fly-line can help your autumn salmon fishing.
MULTI-TIP FLY-LINES have been embraced by salmon-fishers over the last decade. Affordable, practical and balanced, they allow us to quickly and effectively change the depth at which our fly is fishing to match each pool and different water conditions. This is achieved by adding different density sinking tips to a main floating belly. A multi-tip kit (eg, Rio Scandi VersiTip or Airflo Rage Shooting-Head Kit) might be supplied with a belly and three or four different tips: for example, floating, intermediate, Sink 3 (ie, sinks at three inches per second) and Sink 5.
