The Human Face Of Conservation: What We Can All Learn From The Sundarbans
Being my first trip to Bangladesh, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I had read that Dhaka was one of the busiest cities in the world and the Bangladeshi people, one of the kindest. Both are true. I came to visit Dr M A Aziz at Jahangirnagar University and learn about his important work with Sundarbans tigers to inform my own PhD. I was also looking forward to spending some time with WildTeam a fantastic local organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of the Sundarbans, its wildlife and people. As part of my visit, WildTeam kindly organised for me to visit the Sundarbans to learn about its unique mangrove environment, and the valuable work delivered through the Bagh Project to help protect it.
