Grohe, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bathroom products, stole the show at ISH with the launch of Germany’s first 3D-printed tap and some 500 new products.
Having scooped up some 63 design awards in 2018, the creative juices of the Grohe visionaries are flowing enthusiastically as the firm positions itself as the leading brand for complete bathroom solutions, kitchen systems, and intelligent water management.
A harmonious mix of design, plus technology in harmony with the architecture, appears to be the key to the company’s ongoing success in pioneering new technologies.
With Paul Flowers (Chief Design Officer, Lixil Group) and Michael Seum (Vice President Design, Grohe) leading the design team and creating a strong aesthetic palette in which to encase Grohe’s technology, the firm’s reputation as a trendsetter is escalating.
The senior management of Grohe unveiled the new collections, innovations and of course the ground-breaking 3D-printed taps at the opening of ISH 2019 in a slick presentation comparable to an iPhone launch by Steve Jobs.
“We believe that this 3D metal printing will revolutionize the way we will use water in the home; it’s the ultimate blend of customization and industrial production, thus changing the game in our core category [and] differentiating us with distinction,” said Grohe CEO Michael Rauterkus, adding: “Water, intelligence and enjoyment are the three guiding stars of our innovations. Water is more than hardware and software – rather, [it’s] experience and part of our digital lives.”
