The best in interiors, design and architecture was once again on show at the exhibition halls of Nord du Villepinte on January 20 to 24 2017 for another season of MAISON&OBJET Paris. With 2,871 exhibitors showing off their latest designs and innovations spread across eight halls, the fair was one of the biggest platforms for industry professionals and buyers to see the latest offerings from established and independent designers from all over the world.
Spread across halls themed Cosy, Elegant, Eclectic and Luxury, fair exhibitors came from far and wide – in fact, 60 per cent of exhibitors hailed from abroad, with the Italian contingent making up the bulk of the numbers. This season, more than 800 new exhibitors took part, and the brands they represented include emerging brands like ANºSO and Maison Dada to more established names like Tom Dixon and Seletti.
One of the fair’s highlights was the MAISON&OBJET Observatory, where trend consultants took turns to explore the shows’ overarching themes. With this edition’s theme centred on “Silence”, stylist Elizabeth Leriche created a contemplative space within the fair filled with furniture and objet d’art by designers like Matteo Gonet, Pierre Emmanuel Vandeputte and Michael Anastassiades that encouraged visitors to slow down and feel at peace.
