It wowed the crowds then with a Weiand tunnel ram equipped small block Ford engine topped with twin polished Velocity stack style air cleaners, a big white roof with buttoned white interior trim and chrome everywhere. After seeing it in the show, Larry pounced on the opportunity to photograph the car for the magazine and then after publication, Stan returned to the same show the following year with the T sporting a few improvements. This was apparently due to the car suffering substantial fire damage and being rebuilt.
The tunnel ram intake had been removed from the engine and was now boasting a big polished supercharger under the stacks, the white upholstery had been changed to match the paint and a the roof that had featured a trio of diamond-shaped rear windows was replaced with one sporting a Cobra shaped window. Stan made some other changes later on, such as the wheels going from 15x10 inch rear and 13x6 inch front Ansen Sprint mag wheels to polished solid Centrelines and the twin 465 CFM chromed Holley carbs were topped with a BDS scoop to match the 6-71 blower that was built by Jim Walton.
