Oerlikon Graziano India, manufacturer of drivetrain systems for off-highway and niche passenger cars, sees a large local consumption demand along with India being seen as a preferred destination for exports by global OEMs. Sandeep Khullar, Head of Sales and Marketing, Oerlikon Drive Systems India, told Anirudh Raheja in an exclusive interview.
Q: Why do you invest in India and what is the market potential for Oerlikon when India moves to BS VI norms?
Khullar: With presence in 4 major regions - America, EMEAR, China and India, Oerlikon Drives Systems serves various markets and customers under 2 brands, Oerlikon Graziano and Oerlikon Fairfield. For us, India possesses huge opportunities due to its demographic dividend and other advantages. There is a large local consumption demand along with India being seen as a preferred destination for exports by global OEMs. With technological advancement from Euro IV to Euro VI norms, the companies like ours which are focused on providing technologically advanced and quality products gain more. We have been present in India for almost 2 decades and have global technologies which are already proven in developed nations. Our global counterparts are already supplying products to various customers which are at Euro VI norms, whose know-how can be easily transferred to India.
Q: What are all the products you offer to the Indian market and the products developed in India recently?
