THERE IS ALWAYS SOME VOID THAT NEEDS filling somewhere in our lives and certainly in humanity as a whole. Sometimes it is within our control while, most of the time, it is not. And while being clean is a choice, how it's done is just as important. It's no secret that most neighbours in an apartment building clean their balcony only to have the dirt thrown into or on to another's property. Is that clean? To them, maybe. In the greater picture of things? It's as far from it as one can imagine. In fact, it's worse.

While there is divided opinion on how clean an electric vehicle (EV) is, based on manufacturing processes and electric power generation, there is one thing that no one can deny: they have instant torque and, in the correct set-up, can be just as fun if not more fun than their combustion counterparts. Now, as the memories of the Reva or G-Wiz fade away and while not everyone can afford a Tesla Model Y or even a Hyundai Kona, there are some cars that step in and instantly proclaim their significance. It may be due to their styling, their design, their technology, their long-range, the safety features or connectivity they are equipped with or even their stunning performance. Or, then, sometimes, it could well be a case of "all-of-the-above".

The Kia EV6 is a four-door hatchback crossover-SUV take on the motor car. It is the GT-Line version we get here and Kia India are offering a choice between one motor or two, with rear or four-wheel drive respectively. A single-speed transmission does duty and that means an instant rush of torque is a given. But look at the styling. Certainly the "GT" in its name holds water.
