Ah the Capri; the Mustang of the UK that sold in its droves here. With so many derivatives on sale, 26 in fact, the Capri was a car that suited everyone, from 1.3-litre engines right up to the daddy, the 3-litre V6. We’re looking at the 2.0-litre here, smack bang in the middle of the performance sphere, and a car that was considerably cheaper than counterparts from mainland Europe, (think 924 on the opposite page), but packed a punch and won its admirers.
